National Book Week is being observed at Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1 Mangaluru, Panambur from 14th November to 20 November 2017.
In this connection a talk by eminent educationist was arranged on 16th November 2017.
Shri.Lokesha C , Block Education Officer of Brahmavar was the speaker. He emphasized the need of developing reading habit among children and called upon the students to inculcate this valuable skill which would be of much use in future life. He appreciated the library system in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan in general and KV No I Mangaluru in particular. He advised the students to make best use of library services for knowledge and entertainment.
Shri. Ganesh S Indrale , Principal gave the message on developing good reading habit and its benefits.
Kum Sahmitha-IVB and Kum Amruthavarshini-VIIB spoke on the occassion.
Ms.Alice Joseph PGT(Physics) welcomed the guest and Shivaram shetty TGT(Hindi) proposed vote of thanks.
S N Bhat, Librarian coordinated the program.
A three day long Book Exhibition is being held by Scholastic India Pvt Limited with a good collection of graded books for children.
